CANON POINT: After Drama Track "Me Against the World".

BACKGROUND: Background. But let me also provide a small timeline of events leading to my canon point just for reference! Since I know Hyp Mic is sometimes...a cluster.
+World is in the middle of WWIII, the population is decreased by 1/3.
+During this time, Jinguji Jakurai is a medic in a military hospital overseas. The base is attacked and Jakurai finds himself in a bind trying to save all of the people inside of it. The attacker is using a Hypnosis Mic, a weapon that can be used to alter and damage brainwaves through the power of words, and something Jakurai doesn't know how to counter. Enter Ramuda Amemura, another hypnosis mic user who assists Jakurai in taking down the attacker, though not before revealing Jinguji Jakurai was once a 100% kill-rate assassin named "ill-DOC". After the attacker is dealt with, Jakurai turns to Ramuda for help to learn how to rap, and Ramuda agrees with confidence that Jakurai will become a formidable MC.
+A total overthrow of the government happens during the last year of era AD. Lead by Otome Tohoten and her "Party of Words". She and the other women use the hypnosis microphones to take the current Prime Minister out of office, overthrow the government and start "The H Era"/"Rule of H" (translation varies here). Men are removed from power, weapons are taken away and replaced with Hypnosis Microphones. The war ends. The women of government created their own walled territory known as "Chuuoku", impenetrable and requiring strict permits to even enter it and the rest of the country have been divided into "Divisions": Shinjuku, Shibuya, Ikebukuro, and Yokohama.

Jakurai returns to Japan and is trained by Ramuda Amemura to become a Hypnosis Mic user. He joins up with Ramuda, Samatoki, and Ichiro to form "The Dirty Dawg"--a formidable rap group of the H Era. The Dirty Dawg breaks up for an unknown reason. Jakurai remains on good terms with Ichiro and Samatoki, and he turns sour towards Ramuda.
+Fast forward two years, Jakurai forms a new rap group called "Matenrou" in the Shinkjuku Division with Hifumi Izanami and Doppo Kannonzaka, a host and office worker respectively, and takes them to battle in Chuuoku. They come out victorious against Fling Posse and also come out on top in their battle against MTC meaning that Matenrou is the winner of the first Division Battle. My canon point is a drama track directly after the battles, likely the day after. Jakurai noticed some old acquaintances of himself, Samatoki, and Ichiro were at the battle and that they should likely be cautious in regards to Ramuda.
PERSONALITY:
A giving man who never expects or takes anything in return, this is the start of understanding the mysterious yet humble Jinguji Jakurai. To go by his quote, "The sole meaning of life is to serve humanity", is how one getting to know him should picture him. Everything that he does is for the betterment of humanity, whether it be serving in a military hospital giving care to and protecting wounded soldiers, or going back home to his home country and providing health care to those less fortunate. With this in mind, it becomes easily understood why Jakurai is known and revered, nearly worshiped as the kindest and most skilled doctor in Shinjuku. This however, comes with it's own downsides, a cross to bear if you will. With as many people who look up to him as they so, he has unfortunately found himself on a pedestal that he is unable to climb down from.
Though, if one were to look past the pedestal and allow him to climb down from it; Jakurai is actually nothing short of a normal man. He is kind, respectful, and incredibly well spoken. One of Jakurai's biggest strengths as a person is the fact that he more often than not is able to make good rapport with those around him. He always treats others the way that he wishes to be treated. As old-fashioned as this sounds, Jakurai tends to look at life in general with a more mature lens. The down side of being so old-fashioned is that those who do not fall into this same line of thought tend to grate his nerves, much like his ex-teammate Ramuda Amemura.
The downside of this is that generally when he loses respect for a person, it is often hard to gain it back. Once Jakurai deems someone unworthy of his time he tends to give them the cold shoulder. A man who is normally warm and familiar becomes cold and harsh. The best example of this happening in canon is the break up of "The Dirty Dawg", which is strongly pointed out to be the time when Jakurai lost his respect for Ramuda. A disagreement not revealed yet in canon past the fact the Jakurai tended to think Ramuda's use of his Hypnosis Microphone was incredibly irresponsible. Although he remained in good relations with Samatoki and Ichiro, his lost respect for Ramuda is what cause the rift between them that seems and mostly like is irreparable.
His adaptability to situations is also something that he prides himself in, Jakurai is a survivor. An ex-assassin, a military medic, and now a doctor. For someone with a past so shrouded, he made it to where he is at in the current timeline by surviving. He survived being an assassin for what canon says is around ten years, adapted those skills into being a military medic and keeping his employees safe during an attack, to being taught how to use a hypnosis microphone and joining the Dirty Dawg all the way to where he is now, with a team that came out on top.
Jakurai has somewhat of an odd side as well. He often finds himself attracted to those that are "interesting", though, his definition of interesting might lie somewhere a little skewed. As initially, he thought Ramuda Amemura was interesting before their relationship soured. His relationship with his teammates also started as one of mere interest, but unlike Ramuda those two have become a regular part of his life. Because while he is odd, he is also normal. A normal, yet humble man with hobbies such as fishing and meditating. And as often as he would like to go alone, he is often extending offers to Hifumi and Doppo- who are not only his teammates, but his friends.
On a more hilarious note, he is said be a mysterious man who is weak to even one sip of alcohol. Another interesting, yet large downfall is that the ever gentle, understanding, and mysteriously quiet Jinguji Jakurai becomes belligerent, aggressive, and extremely riled up when he dares to consume any alcohol. This was unfortunately discovered during a celebration of Matenrou forming when Hifumi insisted that Jakurai have a drink with them. He also doesn't remember anything from when he is drunk either.
To sum it up, Jakurai is a man shaped by the life he has lived. He is a man who desires to take those experiences to better the future not for himself, but for the humanity that he has dedicated himself to serving.
POWERS/ABILITIES:
+Rapping: Because in this universe, rapping is an essential skill to get by! Jakurai's raps are unlike any other though. While recently revealed in canon that he has the ability to lash out and attack others, Jakurai prefers to be support. Using his raps to instead heal the psyche and boost mentality during battles. This is the strategy that her prefers to use. Think of it much like a bard inspiring those with words, and strengthening fortitude through rap.
+100% Kill-Rate Assassin: Being that Jakurai has well versed knowledge of the human body, he is able to make a kill with 100% success rate. Being that he has this knowledge, his victims never suffer. There is not much known of this skill of his besides this.
INVENTORY: His Hypnosis Mic! Looks like a regular mic until he turns it on.
